Project Greenhouse

Introduction

Project Greenhouse is a school intranet modeled after popular social networking site like Facebook. Taking the best features of these tools and bringing them in-house on an open-source platform allows for both student privacy and complete freedom to design class and group interactions.

Who Use Greenhouse?

Greenhouse was developed by Samutech for Greenhills School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

  • My Assignments - Each student (and their parents) has access to a list of his or her assignments online.
  • Daily Announcements - Announcements can be submitted by any user and approved by school administrators before being published to the community.

Can I download Greenhouse?

At this time, Greenhills School and Samutech are working to improve Greenhouse and create a simple process for sharing it with other schools.
